These terms apply to www.nemsics.org and its marketplace pages, operated by The North-Eastern Multi-State Integrated Agro Co-operative Society Ltd. (“NEMSICS”, “the Society”, “we”), Regd. No. MSCS/CR/150/2002, NEMSICS Bhawan, Ashish Nagar, Tarajan, A.T. Road, Jorhat – 785001, Assam. By using the website you agree to these terms, together with our Privacy policy, Returns & refunds and Shipping & delivery policies.

1. Membership

Membership is by written application under the Society’s bye-laws and the MSCS Act, 2002. It takes effect only when the Board of Directors admits the applicant. Submitting a form or paying the subscription does not by itself make you a member. If an application is not accepted, the amount paid will be refunded as decided by the Society. Shares are not a deposit or an investment product and carry no assured return.

2. The marketplace

  • The Society sells its own products and also lists products of approved vendors (members, FPOs, FPCs and co-operatives). For vendor products, the vendor is the seller. The vendor issues the tax invoice and is responsible for the product, its labelling and its legal compliance. The Society operates the platform.
  • The seller of each product is shown on the product listing.
  • Product photos are for illustration. Rates are indicative until the desk confirms them, and may change daily.
  • Orders are currently on hold. While orders are on hold, no order placed through the website is binding.
  • Payment is by the modes shown at checkout, which may include cash on delivery, UPI / QR or Razorpay. Pay only through the modes shown on the website or confirmed by the Society’s desk, never to an individual’s personal account.

3. Using the website

Please give true and complete information in the forms. Do not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or upload unlawful or harmful content. The Society may refuse or cancel requests that appear fraudulent or incomplete.

4. Content and links

Content on this website belongs to the Society unless stated otherwise. Links to government and third-party websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.

5. Liability

We take care to keep the website accurate and available, but we cannot promise that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, the Society is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law.
